On behalf of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, the Cotton Corporation of India, East India Cotton
Association and Indian Cotton Mills’ Federation, it gives us great pleasure to invite you to the 63rd Plenary
Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) that will take place from November 28th to
December 3rd, 2004 at Hotel Hilton Towers (formerly known as Oberoi Towers) in Mumbai. The theme of the
meeting will be “Enhancing Cotton Competitiveness”. This meeting has special significance in view of the
globalization of textile trade including cotton trade from January 2005. We expect an excellent response for the
meeting from senior government officials and leading personalities from industry, trade as well as the research
and developmental sectors.
The Agenda covers a large number of current topics, and it is hoped that the deliberations of the plenary will be
of great value and importance to the participants.
India offers visitors its great civilization, rich culture, history and heritage. It also offers beautiful monuments like
the Taj Mahal, Palaces of Rajasthan, Caves of Ajanta and Ellora, fine beaches of Goa and the bewitching
backwaters of Kerala.
