World Cotton Research Conference-6 (WCRC-6) Announced

The World Cotton Research Conferences-6 (WCRC-6) will be held in Brazil in the city of Goiânia, Goiás from June 20-24, 2016. Pre-registration is now open at http://www.wcrc-6.com. CABI, FAO and CIRAD are sponsoring the Conference. Major support comes from the ICAC. The WCRC-6 will be organized under the auspices of the International Cotton Researchers Association (ICRA), an entity that represents cotton researchers throughout the world. The International Committee headed by the Chairman of the International Cotton Researchers Association is advising the local organizing committee.
 
The WCRC-6 will bring together vast experiences in production systems and latest developments in cotton research. The event program will include conferences and panel discussions in plenary and concurrent sessions. The Conference will invite plenary speakers and keynote speakers that are internationally recognized in cotton research. A field visit to modern cotton agriculture production systems in Brazil will also be a part of the program. For additional information visit the Conference web page.

The Secretariat of the Committee publishes information related to world cotton production, supply, demand and prices, and provides technical information on cotton production technology. Detailed statistics are found bimonthly in COTTON: Review of the World Situation, $185 per year via email, $225 per year in hard copy. A monthly outlook is available by email for $295 per year.
