The agenda has been revised to include an interactive World Cafe session, in which participants break up into small groups to discuss issues related to water usage in cotton. The session will be led by Jens Soth, a well-known agricultural scientist and environmental engineer who has worked as a consultant for the Swiss development NGO Helvetas and the European Commission.
In addition to the inclusion of the World Cafe session, the times of some sessions have been changed in order to better accommodate speakers and participants.
The theme of the 75th Plenary Meeting of the ICAC will be "Emerging Dynamics in Cotton: Enhancing Sustainability in Cotton Value Chain", which encompasses a broad range of topics relevant to the future of the global cotton value chain. The ICAC is an association of governments of cotton producing, consuming and trading countries, founded in 1939, whose mission is to assist governments in fostering a healthy world cotton economy.
Registrations for the event can be made on the ICAC website (
