Registration for the 76th Plenary Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee since 1939 is now open on the web www.icac.org.
 
The 76th Plenary Meeting will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 23 to 27 October 2017. The agenda of the meeting will include a dense schedule of discussions on topics ranging from inter-fiber completion, technology transfer, quality assessment, cotton yields, logistics and contract compliance.
 
Uzbekistan is the 6th largest cotton producer and 5th largest exporter and has created a modern complex of production, processing and marketing since independence in 1991. Participants in the plenary meeting will have an opportunity to experience the rich heritage of Central Asia and the Great Silk Road, and technical tours showcasing the cotton technology and history of Uzbekistan will be offered. 
 
The ICAC is the intergovernmental body representing cotton and cotton textiles within the architecture of international bodies. The ICAC serves governments and the international cotton community by raising awareness, providing information and facilitating cooperation on matters of shared concern.
