Executive Director of ICAC, Mr Kai Hughes, Visited Uzbekistan

Executive Director of ICAC, Mr Kai Hughes, visited Dr. Ibrokhim Abdurekhmonov, Director of Center of Genomics and Bioinformatics, Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources on Monday September 4. Dr. Abdurekhmonov was ICAC Researcher of the Year 2013 and is recognized as a world leader in the field of genomics research. He and Mr. Hughes have discussed latest developments in research to impart salt and drought tolerance in cotton.
Mr. Hughes is in Tashkent in preparation for the 76th ICAC plenary meeting in October. The agenda for the meeting is complete and can be viewed on the ICAC website.
