Mike McCue Joins ICAC as Communications Director
Mike McCue has been appointed as the Communications Director for the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), officially assuming his duties on March 19.

A marketing and communications professional with more than 30 years of experience, McCue has spent most of the last decade working on cotton-focused industry publications. He spent four years as Editor-in-Chief of Cotton International magazine and later served as founder and publisher of The Cotton Yearbook. In those roles, McCue worked with ICAC during Plenary Meetings, writing press releases and helping the Secretariat with event-related communications.

“Over the last decade, I’ve developed a great respect for the ICAC and the critical work it does to support the global cotton industry,” McCue said. “As cotton’s only intergovernmental body, the ICAC is uniquely positioned to help governments formulate policy that benefits the hundreds of millions of people around the world who depend on cotton for their livelihood. It’s an exciting time for the ICAC, with the Executive Director, Kai Hughes, developing new initiatives and implementing his vision for the organisation, and I’m honoured to be a part of the team.”

McCue has a B.A. in Creative Writing from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and has held marketing and editorial positions in a variety of industries, including information technology, health insurance, ophthalmology, and sales and marketing management.
