World Cotton Research Conference — 3

At the invitation of the cotton industry of South Africa, the World Cotton Research Conference (WCRC-3) was held in, Cape Town, South Africa from 9-13 March 2003. The WCRC-3 was held under the auspices of Cotton SA, the Agricultural Research Council of South Africa, CIRAD-CA (France), FAO and the ICAC. In addition many private sector companies sponsored the conference. The ARC Institute for Industrial Crops, Rustenburg, South Africa hosted the WCRC-3. Over 300 researchers from 38 countries attended the Conference. 164 papers were presented orally and 83 papers were presented as posters at the Conference.
