Réseau asiatique de recherche et de développement sur le coton
4ème réunion
23 au 26 septembre 2008
L’Institut de recherche chinois sur le coton, Anyang, Henan, Chine, a accueilli la 4ème réunion Réseau asiatique de recherche et de développement du coton du 23 au 26 septembre 2008 .
Des délégués de l’Inde, de l’Indonésie, de l’Iran, du Kazakhstan, du Myanmar, du Pakistan, de la Syrie, du Tadjikistan, de la Thaïlande, de Turquie, du Vietnam, du Bureau sous-régional pour l’Asie centrale de la FAO, de CABI, de l’ICAC et un grand nombre de participants en provenance de Chine ont assisté à la réunion .
En plus de l’ICAC, le Bureau sous-régional pour l’Asie centrale de la FAO, le CABI ainsi que l’Organic Exchange ont parrainé la réunion.
Au cours de cette réunion, Dr Xia Jingyuan de la Chine a été élu Président jusqu’à la prochaine réunion du Réseau.

Participating countries decided to hold the next meeting in two years in Kazakhstan. Papers on economics and marketing of cotton will also be invited.
La réunion a envisagé la possibilité de changer de nom pour adopter Réseau de recherche et de développement du coton pour l’Asie et le Pacifique, mais a décidé de ne pas le faire. Toutefois, la réunion a décidé d’inviter l’Australie aux futures réunions.
